Welcome on Behalf of the Board.
This website has been established to better communicate the outcome of our long campaign leading to the establishment of a Montessori School in Cairns.
The Montessori Children’s Foundation (“MCF”) was created approximately 25 Years ago with a generous bequest from the Masterman family. The purpose was to apply Montessori teaching to both our First Nations communities in Cape York and the Torres Strait and the wider community in the region. MCF’s resources enabled the creation of the Wonderwood Montessori School.
We are privileged in having both a very high calibre of staff and the enthusiastic support of the community. We trust that this website can both provide information regarding all matters relating to the school.
We welcome you to the website. We aim for continual improvement and encourage your interest and feedback.
