Enrolment Steps
We’re delighted you’re considering Wonderwood Montessori School for your child.
Here’s a simple guide to help you follow each step of the enrolment journey with ease.
Step 1 – Application to the Waitlist
Your child will need to be placed on the Waitlist before they can enrol at our school.
Waitlist Application Fee: $100
Per child, non-refundable, due on application.
Application fee covers the cost of the application process.
Payment of the application fee does not guarantee an offer of a place at the school.
Step 2 – School Tour with the Principal
Cost: no cost
Bookings are required. If possible, we encourage both parents and the child to attend.
You will be contacted to join a guided tour of the school and classrooms, led by the Principal. This is an opportunity to see the Montessori environment in action, understand our approach, and ask any questions you may have. You will also receive takehome information that offers a deeper look into Montessori education.
If you are unfamiliar with Montessori, you may request a classroom observation, a quiet, thirty minute visit where you can sit in the classroom and observe the Montessori work cycle.
Step 3 – Interview with the Principal
Cost: no cost
Bookings are required. We kindly ask that your child attends the interview with you.
A conversation centred on your child’s development, interests, and needs, as well as any questions you may have about Montessori.
This step helps ensure a smooth and supportive transition into Wonderwood Montessori School.
Step 4 – Formal Enrolment Offerings
Costs:
Enrolment Fee $200
Per child, non-refundable, due upon acceptance of offer.
The enrolment fee is required to confirm acceptance of enrolment.
Enrolment Bond $1250.00
Per child, due upon acceptance of offer of enrolment.
Refundable, if all fees are paid on time and 1 terms notice is given in writing when child is leaving.
Families chosen in line with suitability and current availability will receive a formal Letter of Offer and a Welcome Pack, and parents will then be asked to complete the Enrolment Form.
Documents Required
Please complete the following and have copies ready:
- Enrolment Form (completed online)
- Copy of Childs Immunisation Record (Medicare Statement)
- Copy of School Reports (if applicable)
- Copy of NAPLAN results (if applicable)
- Birth Certificate (physical copy)
If your child’s Birth Certificate shows both parents were born overseas, please also provide citizenship or visa documentation for both the child and both parents, such as:
- Passport(s)
- Citizenship Certificate(s)
- Visa Grant Notice(s)
Congratulations — Your Child Is Enrolled!
Your child’s place is now confirmed, and we’re pleased to welcome your family to our school community. Once your child begins, we invite you to stay in regular contact with their Class Teacher, who will support you with updates on how they are settling into the classroom.
Please note that invoicing begins in the week your child commences. If you have any questions about fees or billing, our Administration team is here to help.
We also invite families to participate in school life, whether through the Parents & Citizen (P&C), community events, or volunteering opportunities.
Step 5 – Meet the Classroom Teacher
(Booking required)
This meeting allows you to connect with your child’s teacher, share important information, and prepare for a positive start.
You will also discuss your child’s first week and any supports that may help them settle confidently.
