I welcome you to Wonderwood Montessori School, Australia’s newest Montessori school. Located in tropical Cairns in Far-North-Queensland, I am honoured to be the inaugural principal of a school that has been long in the planning.
We have developed our environment which has been designed with purpose, beauty, and deep respect for children. Our school has incorporated the beauty of the existing natural setting. Our Montessori classrooms are peaceful, engaging spaces where children learn at their own pace under the careful guidance of trained Montessori educators. Learners are encouraged to follow their natural interests, develop confidence through meaningful work, and build the foundations for lifelong learning.
At Wonderwood, our mission is more than education; It is cultivating a community where children feel seen, supported, and inspired. We believe that every child carries within them a remarkable capacity for growth, creativity, and understanding. Our role is to create the conditions in which that potential can unfold.
Thank you for considering Wonderwood Montessori School for your family. We look forward to welcoming you into our community.
Warm regards,
Des Reuben
